A French Kiss Toast to You (the Host) and To Love

February 9, 2026 by Jenn Carter

Planning the perfect Valentine’s Day in the DMV is a contact sport. You’ve successfully secured the reservation (or the babysitter), navigated the Beltway traffic, and, thanks to us, you’ve got the delicious food—now it’s time for your reward.

You deserve a drink that’s as smooth and sophisticated as Rocklands brisket. This February, we have the perfect drink recipe for you: The French Kiss cocktail. It is a vibrant, bubbly drink that screams romance without being overly fussy. It’s the perfect way to set the mood before the evening begins.

And because we believe every single guest deserves a little love, we’re pairing it with a brilliant mocktail. No heartbreak, just cocktails (and mocktails!) to ensure everyone’s glass is full and happy this Valentine’s Day.

French Kiss Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. Vodka
  • ½ oz Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz Simple Syrup
  • ½ oz Chambord
  • 5 Fresh Raspberries
  • Prosecco

Instructions:

  1. Muddle raspberries in a shaker.
  2. Add remaining ingredients (except Prosecco).
  3. Shake and strain into a champagne flute.
  4. Top with Prosecco.
  5. Garnish with fresh Raspberries and lemon peel twist.

French Kiss Fizz Mocktail

A vibrant, non-alcoholic version that delivers all the elegance and festive flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 oz Raspberry Syrup (or Grenadine)
  • ½ oz Lemon Juice
  • 2 oz. Club Soda
  • Non-alcoholic Sparkling Cider

Instructions:

  1. Combine syrup, lemon juice, and water in a shaker with ice
  2. Shake well and strain into a chilled flute.
  3. Top with sparkling cider or non-alcoholic Prosecco substitute.
  4. Garnish with fresh Raspberries and lemon peel twist

Cheers to Love (and BBQ)

That’s a wrap on another incredible year of celebrations, DMV!

About Jenn Carter

Meet Jenn Carter, whose love of Rocklands spans more than three decades and made her love official in 2005 when she joined the Rocklands family as a Sales Rep in their Catering Department. There she worked with the team to create events: from intimate backyard gatherings to high-profile political fundraisers. Making sure every client’s event featured both Rocklands’ legendary barbecue and impeccable service. Though life has taken her from DC to Japan, to New Mexico, Tennessee and now to Oklahoma, where she lives with her husband Michael, son Jackson, and pup Francis, you’ll still find bottles of Rocklands Barbecue Sauce making their way to her doorstep. Some loves know no distance.
