How does the saying go? “Luck favors the prepared”. I know I’ve already found myself looking at holiday decorations, waiting on photographers to announce their holiday mini-sessions and of course, menu ideas.
I love the holidays but I don’t love the chaos and stress that I sometimes put myself under. So, let’s spend the next few minutes seeing how effortless Rocklands can help you this holiday season!
August isn’t when most people start humming carols or dreaming of mashed potatoes. It’s hot outside, the pool’s still open, and the holidays feel like a distant blip on the calendar.
But from our catering office perspective, the season of magic has already begun.
Why?
Because it’s what we do, it’s what we live for (in my best sea witch voice) and because if you want a holiday that feels effortless (the kind where you actually taste your Champagne and don’t just hear it fizz while you’re in the kitchen), the secret is in the planning. The most memorable gatherings, the ones where you’re present, not frazzled, start now.

The Gift of Peace of Mind
Think of this as your exclusive first look at our 2025 holiday menu . It’s not just about food. It’s about creating a season where the only thing you have to worry about is which stories to retell around the table.
If you’re just ordering sides to accompany your famous fried turkey or you want us to create an event that will leave your guests talking about for years. Give yourself the gift of peace of mind: plan early, then coast through December and Uncle Joe’s same stories like a pro.
This year, we’re diving into the delicious trends shaping the festivities, from what’s new on our menus to how we’re making your holidays feel extra special, but never stressful.
This Year’s Holiday Trend is Comfort, Elevated
If there’s one thing we’ve all learned these past few years, it’s the power of comfort food. But 2025 isn’t about reinventing these foods, it’s about perfecting them.
The hottest trend this holiday season?
“Comfort, Elevated.”
Think of your favorite heartwarming classics then imagine them with a gourmet twist. We’re talking about slow, smoked turkey with turkey gravy, mashed potatoes whipped with bacon and chives, and stuffing made with sweet cornbread and a hit of savory sage.
The food you crave, made with the kind of ingredients and attention that turn ordinary into unforgettable.

For Your Catered Event:
We’re bringing that same magic to your home or office. If this is your first time planning and hosting and don’t know where to start, let the pros at Rocklands help. With over 30 years of experience, we’ve got answers to questions you didn’t even know you had.
Our 2025 holiday menu has a little something for everyone: whole honey-glazed spiral ham, creamy brie topped with cranberry-orange relish, and, if you’re feeling fancy, grilled marinated Gulf shrimp paired with mango chutney.
We’re always glad to tweak the menu for any dietary needs, too. That’s how we make sure your celebration gets the same attention to detail you’d expect at our restaurant, no matter where you’re gathering.
Your Holiday, Your Venue: In Our House or Yours?
We get it: Some celebrations call for a special night out, while others are best enjoyed at home or at the office. Lucky for you, we make both easy.
Option 1: Celebrate With Us
Book our private room at the Arlington location for an intimate family dinner, a festive client lunch, or a company holiday gathering. Our restaurants glow with seasonal décor, and our team handles every last detail. You just show up, raise a glass, and make the memory. If you haven’t seen our dining rooms dressed up for the holidays, you’re in for a treat.
Option 2: We Bring the Celebration to You
Maybe you want to host at your place, but skip the cooking and clean-up. Our catering team offers everything from drop-off meals (so you look like a hero with zero stress) to full-service events with staff, rentals, and a guarantee that you won’t have to lift a finger. Every event and menu is crafted with the same attention to detail you’ve come to expect from us.
No matter where you celebrate, our commitment to meticulous planning and exceptional food is the same.

From Our Kitchen to Your Holiday Table
While we know every holiday can be magical they can also be a little overwhelming. That’s why our team handles the details, so you don’t have to. We’ve spent decades perfecting the art of a flawless, stress-free celebration. Here’s a glimpse at what that looks like:
The Effortless Corporate Holiday Luncheon:
Taking the team out to dinner or an off-site event isn’t always possible, but we can bring that same experience right to your office. When a DC law firm asked for our help, we delivered a delicious array of holiday selections featuring beef tenderloin, grilled salmon, and a spread of seasonal desserts, and made clean up easy by delivering everything in disposable containers. Everyone got to relax and enjoy the celebration.
The Multi-Generational Family Feast at Home:
A family in Arlington was gearing up for their very first Thanksgiving at home. The guest list was a mix of picky eaters, food allergies, and one dad hell-bent on serving up the turkey to end all turkeys. To make sure everyone fit comfortably, we arranged for a big heated tent outside, lights included then brought in tables, linens, and chairs. We didn’t forget the food, either: appetizers, sides, and desserts for every kind of eater. And when the plates were empty and everyone was stuffed, we didn’t just disappear. We stayed to help clean up, too.
The Intimate Holiday Dinner Party:
While most of us aren’t in charge of the corporate Holiday Party or hosting a large amount of guests, it doesn’t mean you aren’t entitled to your own stress-free holiday. A husband got in touch with us last year, hoping to give his wife, the mother of their three kids, a much-needed break after a tough year. He wanted to make sure the holiday meal was completely taken care of, so he worked with our team to pull together a menu that would make her feel special.
On top of her favorite Crab and Artichoke Dip, he ordered a full Christmas dinner: grilled salmon, smoked turkey breast, and all the classic sides. He even threw in a batch of our pecan bars for dessert. Everything arrived on Christmas Eve, packed with easy-to-follow reheating instructions, so the whole family could enjoy a stress-free and memorable Christmas Day meal.
