Did you know that August is National Sandwich Month? Are you pondering what delicious sandwiches you might find to make the most of these final summer days?
Well come on over! We’ve cooked up a different sandwich for each week this month. Last year’s favorite — the Pit Beef Calienté — found a permanent spot on our menu. Come try this year’s creations and tell us your favorite (the winner could end up right next to the Pit Beef).
Here’s the line-up:
August 7-12: Chicken Pita Cooling chicken salad on a bed of shredded lettuce with sliced cucumbers and grapes, stuffed inside a warm pita.
August 13-19: Turkey & Avocado Savory smoked turkey stacked on a warm hoagie roll with sautéed mushrooms, avocado slices and our secret special mayo.
August 20-26: Chicken Steak & Cheese Chicken served cheesesteak-style with caramelized onions, white American cheese, sliced tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Phil-uh-del-fee-YUM.
August 27- September 2: Local Favorite TRIPLE local: Jalapeno & Cheddar Sausage from Logan’s Sausage on a toasted hoagie roll, topped with sauerkraut from Number 1 Sons and Rocklands’ Beer Mustard.
