Have you ever wondered what rowers eat after a race? We can fill you in on that: Rocklands barbeque! We were honored to cater the post-race refill for the Head of the Potomac this past weekend. In a head race, rowers power their way down a three-mile course. On the Potomac, that course runs from Fletcher’s Cove all the way down to the Roosevelt Bridge. Some are – may we say – nutty enough to do this more than once during the day.
Which would explain why we saw so many two-fisted diners in the post-race food line. The chopped pork was going fast. We love being the fuel of champions.
